Let's try something different.

There's a lot of wisdom locked up inside the thousands & thousands of CrossFit affiliates all over the world. There are best practices, best bad ideas, & best guesses as to what's to come. We'd like to harness some of that hard-earned wisdom for the benefit of all.

Your participation is easy: Simply tell us what you think of the questions below by hitting the button & talking to us. (Don't worry if you stumble through an answer - whenever/however we share your answers, we'll be sure to make you sound good.)

It's okay if you don't have all the answers. None of us do. But your experience is too valuable to keep secret.

Question One: Service for Membership

How do you feel about trading services for membership? Have you had any luck with these kinds of arrangements? Any particularly bad(/funny) experiences that have caused you to swear them off entirely? What would you tell somebody who was considering it?

  • 1) If you've got headphones with a built-in microphone handy, using it will help us make sure your answers are clearly heard.

    2) Please start your recording with your name & the name of your gym.

    3) If you're using an iPhone, you'll need to be using Safari on iOS 11. Everybody else (computer or Android phone) should be good-to-go.

Question Two: The Right Time to Open Box #2

Have you opened a second (or third, or fourth) gym? What do you wish you knew at the start of that process that you know now? What mistakes did you make? How did you know it was the right time to expand this way?

Question Three: To Develop or Hire Coaches

How do you bring new coaches on board - are they members who you help develop their skills until they're ready, or do you look outside the box to find coaches who already have the experience? What are the challenges of either? Have you found success one way but not the other?
